Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q1: What are score Feedback Settings and how do they work?
Score Feedback Settings allow you to create personalized feedback comments based on score ranges. When students receive their exam scorecards, the system automatically displays the appropriate comment based on their score, providing detailed feedback and guidance.
Q2: How do I access the Feedback Settings?
Navigate to the exam scorecard settings page and click the "Settings" button in the Feedback Settings section. This will open the comment configuration dialog where you can add, edit, or delete comments.
Q3: What is the correct format for score ranges?
Score ranges use the format [a, b) which means the range includes the starting value (a) but excludes the ending value (b). For example, [80, 90) includes scores from 80 to 89. The highest score range should use [a, b] format to include both endpoints.
Q4: Can score ranges overlap?
No, score ranges cannot overlap. Each score must belong to only one comment range. The system will prevent you from creating overlapping ranges to ensure clear and consistent feedback for students.
Q5: How do I create rich text comments?
The comment editor is a rich text editor that allows you to format text with bold, italic, lists, and other formatting options. You can create detailed, well-formatted comments that will be displayed on student scorecards with full formatting preserved.
Q6: How do I view the full content of long comments?
In the comment list, long comments are truncated with "..." to save space. To view the full comment content, simply hover your mouse over the comment text and a tooltip will display the complete content.
Q7: How do I delete a comment?
You can delete comments in two ways: click the "Delete" button in the settings dialog, or hover over the comment row in the list to reveal the delete option. Both methods will show a confirmation dialog to prevent accidental deletion.
Q8: Are there any limits on score values?
No, there are no restrictions on minimum or maximum score values. You can set any score range that makes sense for your exam, whether it's 0-100, 1-10, or any other range that fits your assessment criteria.
Q9: How are comments displayed on student scorecards?
Comments are automatically matched to student scores and displayed on their scorecards. The system finds the appropriate comment range that contains the student's score and displays the corresponding comment with full formatting preserved from the rich text editor.
