Screening Page
This guide explains how to set up a Screening Page in your survey. The Screening Page feature allows you to place all screening questions on a single page, so that when respondents click "Next," the system automatically applies your rules — disqualifying ineligible respondents and allowing qualified ones to continue.
Feature Overview
The Screening Page works as follows:
- Respondents who do not meet the screening criteria will have their survey session terminated automatically.
- Respondents who meet the screening criteria will proceed to the regular survey flow.
Setting Up the Screening Page
1. In the survey editor, place all screening questions on the same page. Then edit the page divider for that page and check the option "Is this page a screening page?"
For example: if your screening question is Question 2 and it is on Page 1, you need to set Page 1 as the Screening Page.

2. Go to "Design Survey" > "Response Filtering" to configure the filter rules (i.e., automatic invalid response rules).
For example: if unmarried respondents are not your target audience, set responses where Question 2 = "Unmarried" as invalid.

How It Works — Example
Once the screening rule is configured, if a respondent selects "Unmarried" on the screening page and clicks "Next," the system will display the following message:
"We're sorry, some of your conditions do not meet the requirements of this survey. Thank you for your participation!"

Customizing the Disqualification Message
You can customize the message shown to disqualified respondents. To do so:
1. Go to "Design Survey" > "Response Filtering" > "Invalid Response Prompt"
2. Under "Post-Submission Handling," click "Message for Invalid Response" to enter your custom text.

Important Notes
- All screening questions must be placed on the same page.
- The screening page setting must be enabled on the correct page divider.
- Filter rules must be configured in the Response Filtering settings to take effect.
- The disqualification message is customizable and applies to all screened-out respondents.
