Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q: What types of files can be uploaded through the Dropbox integration?
A: The Dropbox integration supports all file types that are allowed in your survey's file upload questions. This typically includes documents, images, videos, and other common file formats. The specific file types and size limits depend on your survey configuration.
Q: How long does it take for files to appear in my Dropbox folder?
A: Files are synchronized to your Dropbox folder automatically when respondents submit their survey responses. The synchronization typically happens within a few seconds to a few minutes, depending on file size and network conditions.
Q: Can I use multiple Dropbox accounts with the same survey?
A: Currently, each survey can only be connected to one Dropbox account at a time. If you need to use a different Dropbox account, you'll need to disconnect the current integration and set up a new one.
Q: What happens if my Dropbox account runs out of storage space?
A: If your Dropbox account reaches its storage limit, new file uploads will fail to sync. You'll need to free up space in your Dropbox account or upgrade your storage plan to resume file synchronization.
Q: Can I organize files by respondent or survey response?
A: Yes, the integration allows you to choose how files are organized in your Dropbox folder. You can set up folder structures that match your survey data for better organization and easier file management.
Q: Is there a file size limit for uploads?
A: File size limits are determined by your survey's file upload question settings and your Dropbox account limits. Check your survey configuration and Dropbox plan for specific size restrictions.
Q: What happens to files if I delete the integration?
A: Deleting the integration only stops future file synchronization. All files that were already uploaded to your Dropbox folder will remain there and are not affected by the integration deletion.
Q: Can I edit the integration settings after it's been set up?
A: Yes, you can edit your integration settings at any time by clicking the "Edit" button. You can change the selected file upload question, modify the destination folder, or update other configuration options.
Q: Does the integration work with all survey languages?
A: Yes, the Dropbox integration supports multiple languages including Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, Portuguese, Spanish, French, and other languages supported by SurveyMars.
Q: What should I do if the integration stops working?
A: If the integration stops working, first check if your Dropbox account is still active and has sufficient storage space. You can also try pausing and resuming the integration, or reconnecting your Dropbox account if necessary.
Q: Can I see which files belong to which survey responses?
A: Yes, the integration maintains the connection between uploaded files and survey responses. You can view this information in your survey's response data, and files are typically organized in a way that makes it easy to identify their source.
