Email Verification

Email Verification helps you confirm that the email address a respondent enters is real and reachable. Respondents receive a verification code at that address and enter it in the survey, so you collect valid contact emails instead of typos or fake addresses.

Example use cases

- Collect verified emails for follow-up, prize delivery, or account linking.

- Reduce invalid or disposable addresses in registration and lead surveys.

- Require proof of email ownership before respondents continue key steps.

Feature access

1. Open the survey editor.

2. Under Personal information, add "Email Verification" (placed below the Email question type).

3. Configure verification settings on the question, including Enable email verification.

Add Email Verification question

Enable email verification

On the question, the verification attribute defaults to Email. Next to (or below) that attribute, use "Enable email verification":

- For the Email Verification question type, this option is on by default.

- For a regular Email question, the same option can appear, but it is off by default.

- You can turn email verification off anytime. When off, the question behaves like a normal email field (no verification code step).

Email credits and purchase

Email verification uses email credits, which are purchased separately. When you enable email verification, the product prompts you to buy credits if needed, shows your remaining available credits, and provides a purchase entry.

1. Click Purchase now (or the equivalent purchase entry) to open the email credit pricing dialog on the current page.

2. Choose a package. Completing the order opens a new window for payment.

3. After purchase, return to the survey editor and continue using email verification with your updated balance.

Editor preview

- When Enable email verification is checked, the question preview shows a Get verification code button.

- When email verification is turned off, the preview does not show the verification code button.

Important notes

1. Email verification consumes email credits; keep enough balance before you publish.

2. Turning verification off changes the question to a normal email field without a code step.

3. Purchase flow: pricing dialog on the current page, then a new window for order payment.

4. Preview reflects whether verification is on (shows Get verification code) or off (hides the button).

5. UI labels and credit pricing may vary by product version; trust in-product copy if it differs from this article.
