Multilingual Survey Reports
SurveyMars statistical analysis reports support multilingual display: after you switch the system language, the survey title, questions, and options in the report will match the current system language as much as possible. If the survey has not been translated into the target language, the system prompts you to translate it. Once done, you can view the report in that language.
Overview
In Statistics, survey questions are no longer limited to the survey's default language. The report display language follows the system language you currently select: left-side report tabs, Default Report, Cross Analysis, Group Statistics, Comparison Report, Custom Report, Data Screen, SPSS Analysis, Conjoint Analysis, 360 Report, and shared report links all follow the same multilingual logic.
How to Access
1. Open the target survey and go to "Statistics".
2. Switch the system language in the upper-right corner of the page (for example, to "Simplified Chinese", "English", "Traditional Chinese", and so on).
3. Open any report tab on the left (such as "Default Report" or "Cross Analysis") to check the result. Based on whether the survey has been translated into the current system language, the system either shows the matching content or displays a reminder.
When a Matching Translation Exists
If the survey's multilingual settings already include a translation for the current system language, after you open the report:
- The survey title, questions, and options appear in that system language.
- Question titles and options in filters, shared reports, and Excel / Word / PDF downloads also use the matching language.
- All report types on the left follow the same rule. You do not need to select a language again on the report page.
Note: After you switch the system language anywhere, as long as the survey has been translated into the target language, the report content switches at the same time.
When No Matching Translation Exists
If the survey has not been translated into the current system language, a "Reminder" dialog appears by default when you enter the report page. It explains that survey questions in the report cannot be shown in that language yet, and guides you to complete the translation.
The dialog offers these actions:
1. Click "Go to Translate": Jump to the Design Wizard, automatically open the survey multilingual settings dialog, and scroll to the target language that needs translation.
2. Click "Got it" or close the dialog: Dismiss the reminder and continue viewing the current report (questions still appear in the default language).
3. Click "Don't remind again": The reminder will not appear automatically the next time you enter this report.
After you close the dialog, an icon and tip text appear in the lower-right corner of the report page so you can open the reminder again. You can click the tip text to dismiss it (this is not saved permanently and may appear again next time). Click the icon to reopen the reminder dialog. After you finish translating that language, the icon and tip no longer appear.
Translate from the Report
1. In the reminder dialog, click "Go to Translate".
2. The system opens the Design Wizard and the "Automatically translate survey content into other languages" dialog. The list scrolls automatically to the language that needs translation (that language row is highlighted).
3. For that language, click "AI Translate", or use "Upload" to import a prepared translation.
4. After translation, review the title, questions, and options on the comparison page. If needed, click the edit icon to fine-tune the text, click "Preview" to check the result, or click "Retranslate" to generate again.
5. If you entered translation from a statistical analysis report, the button in the lower-right corner of the comparison page shows "Back to Report" (other entry points keep their usual action buttons). Click "Back to Report" to return to the report page and view the translated report content.
6. Before-and-after report examples: After you finish translating into the target language and return to the report, the survey title, questions, and options appear in the current system language. Compare as follows.
- Before translation: The report still shows question content in the survey's default language.
- After translation: The report shows the translated survey title, questions, and options in the current system language.
Tip: Translate after you finish editing the survey content whenever possible, so you do not need to retranslate after later question changes.

FAQ
Q: After I switch the system language, the report questions do not change to the matching language. What should I do?
A: First check whether the survey has been translated into the current system language. If not, a reminder appears when you open the report. Click "Go to Translate", finish the translation, then return to the report.
Q: After I close the reminder, how do I open Go to Translate again?
A: After you close the dialog, an icon and tip appear in the lower-right corner of the report page. Click the icon to reopen the reminder dialog. You can also open survey multilingual settings manually in the Design Wizard.
Q: Why does the translation page show "Back to Report" instead of "Got it"?
A: Only when you enter from the reminder dialog on a statistical analysis report by clicking "Go to Translate" does the system replace the button with "Back to Report", so you can return in one click and view the translated report. Entering multilingual settings from other entry points does not replace this button.
Q: Do shared report links also display in multiple languages?
A: Yes. In shared Default Report, Data Screen, 360 Report, and similar links, the survey title, questions, options, and table column titles follow the language parameter used when sharing and any existing translations.
Q: When I export Excel, Word, or PDF, will the titles use the matching language?
A: They use the multilingual titles and questions for the current system language as much as possible. Make sure you have finished translating the survey into that language; if not, the export may still show the default language.
