Help Center Quiz Analyze Reports Quiz Leaderboard

Quiz Leaderboard

The Quiz Leaderboard displays rankings for quiz responses. You can Ranked by Score and Completion Time, or Ranked by Score, and set a share password or export data. Publishers and test-takers can view and share results via a share link or QR code on both mobile and desktop.

Access

On the Results page, click the Exam Leaderboard tab at the top to open the leaderboard configuration and preview.

Quiz Leaderboard TAB Entry

The page has two areas: leaderboard settings on the left and a live preview on the right. Changes on the left update the preview immediately so you can see the result as you configure.

Ranking Rules

In the left "Leaderboard settings" area, choose how to rank:

1. Ranked by Score and Completion Time (default): Sort by score from high to low; when scores are tied, sort by completion time from shortest to longest so test-takers with the same score are ordered.

2. Ranked by Score: Sort by score from high to low only; tied scores share the same rank.

Daily Leaderboard

The daily leaderboard ranks responses submitted on the selected date. It only includes data from that day and is useful when you need to publish rankings by day. This option is off by default.

1. After turning on Daily Leaderboard, a date picker for Share by exam date appears.

2. The default date is "Today". You can choose today or any earlier date to view or share that day's rankings.

3. You can also enable the daily leaderboard under Design Wizard → Quiz settings → Transcript settings. If you need the daily leaderboard before collecting responses, enable it there; both places control the same setting.

Note: The daily leaderboard must be turned on before you collect responses. Only responses submitted after it is enabled are included in daily stats; responses collected before it was enabled are not included in the daily leaderboard.

Example: A company runs a "daily morning quiz" or "daily practice." Employees or trainees who complete it that day are ranked by that day's score. A teacher can share the daily leaderboard link each day to encourage participation and checking rankings. The daily leaderboard shows only the selected date's rankings and is separate from the "All" leaderboard.

Leaderboard Label (Participant Department)

When "Participant department" is set in transcript settings, the leaderboard page shows the Leaderboard label option.

1. The default label is "My department." It identifies the department filter on the preview and share page. You can change it (e.g., "My team," "Department").

2. The custom label can be up to 50 characters. If it is too long, save will fail; shorten it and try again.

Export Data

Leaderboard data is kept for about 3 months after the exam ends. Export and save it locally in time.

1. Export all leaderboard data: Exports all ranked responses in one file, regardless of date. Use this when you need full history.

2. Export daily leaderboard data: Shown only when "Daily leaderboard" is on. This option is checked by default when daily leaderboard is enabled. Choose a date to export that day's rankings.

3. Check the type(s) you want, then click Confirm export. The system generates and downloads an Excel file.

FAQ

What's the difference between the daily leaderboard and the "All" leaderboard?

The daily leaderboard only includes responses submitted on the selected day and ranks them by score. It fits daily quizzes and publishing rankings by day. The "All" leaderboard includes all responses and sorts them by your chosen ranking rule.

Why don't I see "Leaderboard label" or "Export daily leaderboard data"?

"Leaderboard label" appears only after "Participant department" is enabled in transcript settings. "Export daily leaderboard data" appears only after you turn on "Daily leaderboard."

The share link opens but shows no data. What should I do?

Make sure you clicked Save so your settings apply. If a share password is set, enter the correct password on the share page. For the daily leaderboard, confirm that responses were submitted on the selected date.

Do I need to turn on "Show daily leaderboard" in both transcript settings and the exam leaderboard?

No. It's the same setting in both places. Turn it on in either transcript settings or the exam leaderboard page.

How far back can I export data?

Leaderboard data is kept for about 3 months. Data older than that cannot be exported. Export and back up any data you need to keep soon after the exam ends.
