Slack Integrations
SurveyMars platform now supports seamless integration with Slack, allowing you to automatically send survey responses to your Slack channels or direct messages. This integration helps streamline your workflow and keep your team updated with survey responses in real-time.
Feature Access
1. Navigate to the survey distribution page and locate "Integrations" section. Click the "Go>>" button to access data integration settings.
Connecting to Slack
1. Click the "Connect" button
2. If you're already logged into Slack:
- You can choose to use your currently logged-in Slack account
- Or select "Add account" to log in with a different account
3. If you're not logged into Slack:
- Click the "Login to Slack" button
- Complete the Slack authentication process
- The system will automatically proceed to the next step upon successful connection
Setting Up Data Destination
The connection process consists of two main steps:
Step 1: Destination Selection
- Choose where to send survey responses in Slack
- Select from available Slack channels or direct messages
- Use the "+" button to add multiple destinations
Step 2: Question Selection
- Choose which survey questions to send to Slack
- Maximum of 50 questions can be selected
Managing Your Integration
1. Pause/Resume Synchronization:
- Toggle the connection switch off to pause data synchronization
- Toggle the connection switch on to resume data synchronization
2. Edit Configuration:
- Return to previous setup steps to modify your configuration
- Update field mappings or change target destinations as needed
3. Delete Integration:
- Click the "Delete" button to remove the integration
- Confirm your decision in the confirmation dialog
- Note: This action will stop all data synchronization
4. View your workspace:
- Click the "View your workspace" button to view your workspace
Important Notes
1. Channel Access:
- Private channels and direct messages won't appear until the SurveyMars app is added to the channel
- To add the app, click the channel name, go to "Integrations" tab, and click "Add App"
2. Direct Messages:
- Direct messages will be sent to the SurveyMars app's Slack channel
- This is due to Slack's app permission management system
3. Contact Visibility:
- You can only send direct messages to users who have installed the SurveyMars app in their workspace
Limitations
- Maximum of 50 questions can be selected for Slack integration
- For surveys without choice questions, only the second part of optional settings will be available
- Direct messages are limited to users with the SurveyMars app installed
