Matrix Rating Question
Matrix Rating question presents a matrix of answer options in a grid format, where each row represents a specific question or statement and each column represents a rating scale. Respondents are asked to rate each row item on the same rating scale. View a Matrix Rating example.
Creating a Matrix Rating Question
1. Choose Matrix Rating to add the question to your survey.
2. Enter the question about rating statements or items on a scale.
3. Enter the row questions about the statements or items. You can add row question one by one or bulk add them. The row questions can be displayed randomly when you check Row Question Random checkbox.
4. (Optional) Adjust the content, score, the level of the scale, and the style of options. If you want to limit the selection times for each option, you can set it by clicking Number of Selectable Options.
5. (Optional) Adjust any additional settings for questions and options.

6. Click Finish.
Analyzing the Data
Overview
The results show the number and percentage of responses for each option, and are presented using charts and tables to visualize the data. Multiple chart types are available for Matrix Rating questions, including column, bar, line and radar charts.
For the Matrix Rating question, it will provide the average score for this question, the average score for each row question, and the sum of average scores. There are calculated by the following formulas:
The Average Score for each Row Question = (Sum of all ratings for a row question) / (Number of responses for a row question)
Sum of average scores = Sum of The Average Score for each Row Question
The Average Score = Sum of average scores / Number of Row question
For example, the scores for this question are calculated:
The Average Score for "Responsiveness" = ( 3 x 1 + 4 x 4 ) / 5 = 3.8
Sum of average scores = The Average Score for "Responsiveness" + The Average Score for "Friendliness" + The Average Score for "Knowledge" + The Average Score for "Problem-solving ability" = 3.8 + 4.4 + 4 + 4 = 16.2 The Average Score = 16.2 / 4 = 4.05

In the Detailed View of a Matrix Rating question, you can see the details of each row question. This view provides a more granular breakdown of the responses for each row question.
Multiple chart types are available in the Detailed View, including column, pie, doughnut, bar, and line charts. A table is also available that shows the number and percentage of responses for each row question.
