Import multiple contacts from Text

The "Import Contacts from Text" feature  allows users to quickly add multiple contacts by copying or manually entering information .This function supports  input and streamlines the process of bulk contact creation.

Feature Access

1. Navigate to the Contacts page.

2. Click the Add Contacts dropdown.

3. In the bulk add options, select Import from Text.

Importing Contacts from Text

1. Click Import from Text to open the import dialog.

2. You can copy and paste or manually enter contact information into the input area.

3. Phone numbers must include a country code.Email and name are required fields.

4. Departments and tags can be selected from dropdowns. If pasted values do not exist, they will be created upon saving.

5. Press Enter in any input field to add a new row.

6. Click the + button below to add a new row as well.

7. When pasting multiple lines, the system will automatically add the corresponding number of rows.

8. Hover the mouse over the data row and click the "-" icon to delete the entire row of data.

9. After editing the contact information, click the Import button to import multiple contacts with one click.

Important Notes

- Ensure phone numbers include the correct country code for accurate import.

- If a department or tag does not exist, it will be created automatically upon saving.

- Pressing Enter or clicking the + button will always add a new row for input.

- Bulk paste will automatically expand the input area to fit the number of lines pasted.

Q1: What formats are supported for importing contact information?

A1: You can paste or enter contact information in plain text. Each line should represent one contact, and fields should be separated by spaces, commas, or tabs.


Q2: What if a phone number does not include a country code?

A2: The system requires all phone numbers to include a country code. Please ensure you select the correct country code before importing.


Q3: Can I import contacts with departments or tags that do not exist?

A3: Yes, if a department or tag does not exist, it will be created automatically upon saving the imported contacts.


Q4: How do I add multiple contacts at once?

A4: You can paste multiple lines of contact information into the input area. The system will automatically add the corresponding number of rows for each contact.


Q5: How can I delete a contact row before importing?

A5: Hover over the data row and click the "-" icon to delete the entire row of data before saving.


Q6: Is there a limit to the number of contacts I can import at once?

A6: There is no strict limit, but for optimal performance, it is recommended to import up to 500 contacts at a time.
