Two Factor Authentication 2FA

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) provides an additional layer of security for your account by requiring a second form of verification beyond your password. This feature supports three authentication methods: WhatsApp verification code, email verification code, and MFA code. Users can choose one method and will need to complete the verification process to enable 2FA.

Feature Access

1. Navigate to your account information page and locate the "Two-Factor Authentication" section below the account association area.

2. By default, 2FA is disabled. Click the entry point to enable it.

Authentication Method Selection

1. After clicking the 2FA entry point, a setup dialog will appear.

2. Choose one of the three available authentication methods:


- WhatsApp verification code

- Email verification code

- MFA code


3. Note: You can only select one authentication method at a time.

4. Click "Next" to proceed to the verification process.

WhatsApp Verification Process

If you select WhatsApp verification, follow these steps:


1. Identity Verification: First, you'll need to verify your identity by entering your application login password. You can switch authentication methods using the dropdown on this page.

2. Phone Number Input: Enter the phone number that is bound to your WhatsApp account. You can switch authentication methods using the dropdown on this page.

3. WhatsApp Verification: The system will automatically send a verification code to your WhatsApp. You can click "Resend" after 60 seconds if needed.

4. Complete Verification: Enter the verification code and click "Complete Verification" to finish the process.

5. Success Notification: A TOAST message will confirm successful verification.

MFA Code Verification Process

If you select MFA code verification, follow these steps:


1. Identity Verification: First, you'll need to verify your identity by entering your application login password. You can switch authentication methods using the dropdown on this page.

2. MFA App Setup: The next page will guide you through two steps:


- Step 1: Download an MFA app: Duo Mobile, Authenticator, or Google Authenticator


- Step 2: Open your MFA app (Duo Mobile, Authenticator, or Google Authenticator) on your mobile device

Step 3: Scan the QR code or copy the secret key to your MFA app


- Step 4: Locate your account in the app (it should display the account name you set up)


- Step 5: View the 6-digit verification code that automatically refreshes every 30 seconds


- Note: When you use a third-party MFA tool to scan the QR code, your account will be successfully bound. The MFA tool will then display the name of the bound platform and your account.After adding your account to the MFA app, you can view the verification code.The verification code is time-sensitive and will expire after 30 seconds, then a new code will be generated

4. MFA Code Verification: The system will automatically generate a verification code in your MFA app. You can click "Resend" after 60 seconds if needed.

5. Complete Verification: Enter the verification code from your MFA app and click "Complete Verification" to finish the process.

Email Verification Process

If you select email verification, follow these steps:


1. Identity Verification: First, you'll need to verify your identity by entering your application login password. You can switch authentication methods using the dropdown on this page.

2. Email Address Input: Enter the email address where you want to receive the verification code. You can switch authentication methods using the dropdown on this page.

3. Email Verification: The system will automatically send a verification code to your email address. You can click "Resend" after 60 seconds if needed.

4. Complete Verification: Enter the verification code from your email and click "Complete Verification" to finish the process.

Managing Two-Factor Authentication

1. View Current Status: After successful setup, the entry point will display the current 2FA status and provide an edit option.

2. Edit Configuration: Click the edit option to open the settings dialog.

3. Verified Method Display: The already verified method will show an icon indicating it has been authenticated.

4. Switch to Verified Method: When switching to an already verified method, you won't need to complete the verification steps again. The "Next" button text will change to "Complete Verification" and provide an edit entry.

5. Re-authenticate: Click edit to restart the authentication process for that method.

Login Verification

1. Regular Login: After enabling 2FA, when you log in normally, a two-factor verification dialog will appear.

2. Default Verification: By default, the system will send a verification code to your WhatsApp.

3. Switch Methods: You can switch to other 2FA methods using the dropdown at the bottom, but only methods you've previously verified will be available.

4. Method Switching: After switching, a secondary confirmation dialog will appear. Once confirmed, the system will immediately send a verification code for the selected method and open the corresponding input dialog.

Important Notes

 

- You can only select one authentication method at a time


- Clicking "Cancel" or "Return to Settings" will prompt a confirmation dialog asking if you want to exit and disable 2FA


- The system will only show previously verified methods in the login verification dropdown


- All verification codes can be resent after 60 seconds


- You can edit and modify your 2FA configuration at any time after initial setup


- All verification processes include identity confirmation to ensure real user access


- For MFA verification, you need to download and install a compatible authenticator app
