AI Suggest Question Types
AI Suggest Question Types helps you quickly find suitable question types in the survey editor. Describe what you need, and AI matches recommended question types and generates sample question content you can add in one click.

- You know the research goal (e.g., measure customer satisfaction) but are unsure which question types fit best.
- You want AI to draft sample questions so you can start editing faster instead of building from a blank slate.
- You need to add several related questions quickly while keeping wording consistent with your survey topic.
Feature access
1. Open the survey editor.
2. Below the outline, find the AI icon.
3. Hover over the icon to see the tip: "AI helps find question types."
4. Click the icon to open the AI Suggest Question Types dialog.
How to suggest question types
1. In the dialog, enter your requirements for finding question types. The input limit is 2,000 characters.
2. Click "Suggest question types"
3. Review the matched question types and AI-generated sample questions based on your description.
4. Choose how to add them:
- Select a blank question type to add an empty question of that type.
- Select use sample content to add the question with the AI-generated example text.
5.Regenerate
If the AI-suggested question types don’t match what you expect, click the Regenerate button at the bottom, re-enter your requirements, and AI will recommend suitable question types again based on your updated input.
Special prompts
High overlap with existing questions
If your input is highly similar to a question already in the survey, a dialog appears and shows which existing question matches. You can:
- Choose Continue creating to proceed with the suggestion.
- Choose Close to dismiss the dialog and adjust your input.
Unable to generate
If your input is invalid or unreadable (e.g., gibberish), a dialog explains that generation failed. Click "Retry" to try again with clearer wording.
Free trial and upgrade
You can enjoy a free trial of 30 AI Suggest Question Types. The usage logic matches AI Create Survey.
When you exceed the free trial limit and try to generate again, an upgrade dialog appears with the message:

Click Upgrade to open the upgrade dialog and continue using the feature after upgrading.
