Why do I need to add TXT and CNAME records?

TXT records are used for domain ownership verification, pre-verification, and certificate issuance; CNAME records are used to point the custom domain to the platform’s origin server, ensuring secure and correct access.

My domain is yourcompany.com. Can I add a CNAME record directly?

No. Root domains follow the DNS standard and cannot be bound directly through a CNAME record. You need to use an A record pointing to the IP address provided by the platform, or contact customer support for assistance.

What should I do if DNS record propagation takes too long?

DNS propagation time depends on the service provider, usually 1-30 minutes. You can use a DNS Checker tool to check global propagation status. If it still hasn’t taken effect within 1 hour, please check the record configuration or contact customer support.

Do I need to add the TXT record again when renewing the certificate?

No. When renewing, you only need to change the CNAME record value of _acme-challenge. to the new Token provided by the platform. The existing TXT record can be kept or deleted.

What should I do if "The domain name is already in use" appears during setup?

Please confirm whether the domain name is already being used on another platform. If it is, you need to unbind it from the original platform before configuring it again.
